The
Need for Deliverance
Over the last twenty-five years of working with Christians,
we have found many sincere, faithful saints struggle with
ongoing sins, sickness or emotional pains that simply won’t
go away. We have found that many have been set free by ministering
deliverance to them. Many Christians wrongly believe that
they are automatically free from demonic activity upon salvation.
Our seminar addresses the following three areas, each of which
is explained in detail further on in this brochure: |
|
1.HOW TO IDENTIFY DEMONIC ACTIVITY
2.HOW TO EXPEL THE ENEMY
3.HOW TO STAY FREE FROM DEMONIC INFULUENCE
Suggested uses of the Deliverance Ministry:
•Complete Seminars to equip the church.
• Guest Session speaking for your Conference
• Weekend Retreats for Men, Women or Youth
• Single Sunday services
Listed above are only a few suggestions. We encourage you to
call us and let the Lord direct our hearts as to how we might
build the kingdom of God together.
EXTENDED SEMINAR & COUNSELING
Our extended seminar has been very useful for churches
wanting their people to be trained in deliverance. We train people
how to move in the following areas:
The Discerning of Spirits-seeing into the spirit
world and how it’s used in deliverance.
Word of Wisdom-using it to keep people free.
Word of Knowledge-knowing what God knows in real
time ministry situations.
Generational Curses-detailed teaching on the
working of family sin, its origins and symptoms.
Demonic Order-Understanding the larger battle
for regions and how it affects personal deliverance.
Those attending theses sessions will get “on the job training”
in deliverance with one of us there to supervise and mentor them
along the way.
#1 IDENTIFYING THE ENEMY
First we must recognize that casting out demons is a Christian
ministry for Christians. When asked in Mark 7 by non-covenant
person to cast a demon out of her daughter, Jesus refuses, at
first, by saying, Let the children be filled first, for it is
not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the
little dogs. He shows us here that deliverance belongs to God’s
children, including Christians who are indwelt with the Spirit.
Jesus in fact warns us in Mathew 12:44 that a house/person delivered
who then remains empty may end up worse than before! We show that
“having” a demon does not mean possession. In session
#1 we teach on the signs of demonic activity verses simply working
on our sins through normal sanctification, for not all sin habits
prove that one has a demon. We then discuss possible causes of
these activities, such a generational sin, and childhood abuse
or sinful indulgences which can open doors to demons. We discuss
seven ways that demons can enter our lives and how we can close
those doors.
#2 HOW TO EXPEL THE ENEMY
Once we understand which activities indicate a demon
we must know HOW to rid ourselves of the intruder. We teach how
demons physically enter and how they leave. Also unless one meets
certain conditions the spirit will rightly refuse to leave. Forgiveness,
personal holiness, humility etc., all pave the way for God to
move on our behalf as well as giving no legal grounds for the
enemy to stay.
A believer must also know their authority to deliver not only
themselves but also others. We teach from a standpoint of personal
deliverance but also proper methods to use when praying for others.
We admonish attendees to stay away from sensationalism and remain
balanced emotionally and in the Word when ministering.
#3 STAYING FREE FROM DEMONS
We believe it as important to teach believers how to
stay free from a demon, as it is to deliver them in the first
place. The seminar is not just about getting attendees free, but
also to teach them to deliver others and to teach others how to
stay free. Remember, Jesus admonished us to keep our house clean,
in order AND full!
We also discuss possible reasons that some don’t get delivered.
Many people go from church to church or minister to minister seeking
freedom, only to find none. We have had wonderful success helping
those with long-term issues by honest discussion of a LIFESTYLE
that promotes spiritual freedom.
We also recommend people to long term care of a therapist when
that is appropriate, since we know that deliverance is not a cure
all for some Christians who have deep emotional wounds that take
more than a prayer to heal.
